Ivy League Elite

Ivy League Elite is an intensive, engaging, informative and fun college preparatory program for top performing students who desire to attend an Ivy League University.  Participants are referred to as Ivy League Elite Fellows. Students enter the program in the fall of 8th grade and remain in the program until high school graduation.  The program is limited to 100 students per year from metro-Atlanta public, private, charter, and home schools.

Requirements

Students must meet the following criteria:  

  • Be in the top 10% of their class
  • Possess a minimum of a 3.3 grade point average/A average
  • Score in the 80th percentile or higher in reading and in math on their most recent national standardized test scores
  • Have evidence of commitment to active community service
  • Have 2 letters of recommendation
  • Express desire to attend an Ivy League college in a 500 word essay

The program includes: an all-inclusive summer Ivy League college tour in the summer following 8th grade and 1 pre and 1 post travel seminars to be held in May and August.

Timeline

August/September/October of 8th Grade Year

  • Identify qualified 8th grade students
  • Distribute Ivy League Elite Interest Letters and Applications to students

October 31

  • Application Deadline – must be postmarked by November 30

November/December

  • Review of Applications/Candidate Interviews

January 10

  • Letters of Acceptance Mailed

January – April

  • Fundraising Campaign

February 15

  • Commitment Letter & $250 Deposit deadline

April 30

  • $1,000 due

May 30

  • $250 due (Final Payment is due)

June – July

  • Ivy League Tour
